This map of the fabled area in present-day Romania shows mountain ranges, forests and the fertile river valleys. It is decorated with three strapwork cartouches including one that credits Sambucus's map of 1566 as the basis of this map, and is surrounded by a boldly engraved border. This is the third state, with German text on verso. A small crack in the plate is visible at bottom left.

On a watermarked sheet with a small wormhole and wormtrack along the upper centerfold that have been professionally repaired. There is light foxing and soiling confined to the blank margins.
