This is Jansson's uncommon second folio map of Transylvania. It centers on Hermenstat or Cibinium (Sibiu). There is fine detail of the Carpathian Mountains and the region's various rivers and forested areas. At top right is the wolf's teeth coat of arms of the Bathory family. Miners and allegorical figures representing harvest flank the strapwork title and distance scale cartouche at bottom right. Blank verso.
