Simple but handsome chart of the Mediterranean focusing on Southern Italy, Sicily and Greece, with ancient places located. The map shows the regions explored and invaded by Pyrrhus, King of Epirus, who was Ptolemy's contemporary. Engraved by Jean Somer.

A dark impression with contemporary outline color in the map and later color in the cartouche, on a bright sheet with the watermarks of a large coat of arms and the symbol for the Society of Jesus. There is faint toning along the centerfold and a few soft creases at bottom center.
