This is a dramatic, large-scale sea chart describing the Senegalese coastal kingdoms and the westernmost point in Africa, the Cap Vert Peninsula in Dakar. The map is inset with a small chart of the Isle de Goree. Two exquisite compass roses orient the map with north to the left.

Beautiful impression and wonderful contemporary color with gold leaf on the compass roses and scales of miles. There is an archivally repaired centerfold separation at bottom, marginal soiling, and remnants of hinge tape on verso.
