This is a remarkable example of an uncommon Florentine map production. The map is finely engraved and details the Greater Antilles, Cuba, and the Bahamas. It also shows much of Florida. St. Augustine is located, and Lake Okeechobee is Lago Mayaco. There is fine topographical detail and plenty of place names on the various islands. A large inset of the Virgin Islands is titled "Isole Vergini."
