This uncommon map depicts Cyprus and ancient Cilicia, located in present-day southern Turkey. It is from the work of the Protestant minister and oriental scholar Samuel Bochart (1599-1667). Both the title and place names are given in Latin and Hebrew. It is decorated with a trireme and sea monster in the Mediterranean and a couple travelers in the Anatolian plains north of the Taurus Mountains.
