This is a very uncommon version of Pierre Mortier's map of the eastern Mediterranean and Middle East published by Jacques Desray. It illustrates the travels of St. Paul and includes more of Egypt and the Arabian Peninsula than other similar maps, although detail is confined to the coastal regions. The map was precisely engraved by Mademoiselle Glot.

A nice impression, printed askew on a sheet with a bunch of grapes watermark. There are faint dampstains adjacent to the centerfold around Egypt and in the bottom margin. There is heavy soiling as well as tiny chips and tears along the edges of the sheet.
