This decorative and complete set of promotional maps issued by Vichy Laboratories highlight French possessions across the globe. French ownership is highlighted in brown/red shading with vignettes presenting the region's wildlife, natural resources, and culture. Related text and illustrations on verso describe each region. All but one map is tissue-guarded. The list of maps include:
A. Nos Possessions des Cinq Parties du Monde.
B. Nos Possessions dans les Ameriques.
C. Indochine.
D. Etablissements Francais de l'Inde Etats du Levant.
E. Etablissements Francais de l'Oceanie.
F. Afrique Occidentale.
G. Afrique Equatoriale Fse. avec Madagascar.
H. Europe. Condition: Minor edge tears along the bottom sheet edge.
Vichy Laboratories used these maps to promote their products "Neutroses-Vichy" and "Vegerenyl," which are advertised on verso (the tissue guards also advertise Bronchoseptol). Neutroses-Vichy was an antacid created to treat upset stomach, and Vegerenyl was purported to treat ailments affecting the kidney and bladder; however the Vegerenyl ad on verso is partially obscured by an ink stamp indicating that production of the product had been suspended. Printed by Petit Jean.

The maps are clean, colorful and near fine with a hint of toning along the sheet edges. The one exception is the map of Oceania which has some small edge tears at top, including an 1.5" tear that has been closed on verso with archival tape (B+). The first image is a composite image - this set is on 8 separate sheets.
