A. Greater East Asia War Graphic, published 1942 (7.3 x 10.1"). This well-preserved newsprint magazine features an 18-page section covering the bombing of Pearl Harbor with numerous photographic illustrations and captions in English. The remainder of the volume documents the Japanese victories across East Asia with illustrations, most with English captions, and maps within the text. At the rear of the volume is a folding map (13.0 x 8.7") of the East Asia war zone including the west coast of the United States. Condition: Contents are lightly toned with scattered foxing. There are a couple of small tears to the wrappers. Overall very good for this type of item. (B+)
B. [Attack on Pearl Harbor], by Matsunosuke Furushima, circa 1942 (5.6 x 3.5"). This is a postcard version of Furushima's dramatic bird's-eye view depicting the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It was originally issued as a supplement to the publication "King" on March 1, 1942. Reference: cf. Rumsey #10806. Condition: Mostly clean and bright. (A)
