The scarce view is centered on the corner of Dearborn Street and Jackson Boulevard and presents the city’s skyline in colorful detail. A vignette of “Chicago in 1803” is shown in the upper left corner while important buildings are listed along the top sheet edge corresponding to their location in the illustration. Trifolds into a decorative “The Official Chicago Centennial Souvenir Mail Card” with “Early Scenes in Chicago” illustrated on the verso.
