This boldly engraved map covers much of Europe, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, Turkey, and northern Africa. It locates synods and ecumenical councils. The map extends to Cyprus and the Holy Land. There is an impressive decorative title cartouche at top right depicting religious leaders and their followers.

Condition: B+

A crisp impression with contemporary outline color in the map and later color in the cartouche, on a bright sheet of watermarked paper with very light toning along the centerfold and two small worm holes in the Mediterranean.
