A detailed map presenting the rugged topography of the Alps with forests, villages, lakes and rivers identified throughout. A cartouche at lower left presents the coats of arms of the 13 cantons along with those of their allies and subjects. Further decorated by a strapwork title cartouche and compass rose with fleur-de-lis. Based upon an earlier map by Nicolas de Fer. Engraved by P. Starckman. Dissected and backed with linen.
