This is a handsome bird's-eye plan of Moscow. The city is situated at the junction of the Moskva and Neglinnaya rivers, which form a moat protecting all but the northeast flank of the Kremlin. The map shows the Kremlin and old city, Kitaigorod, at center. These are surrounded by successive rings of fortifications. All the churches are graphically depicted with a German church and abbey shown outside the city walls. German text at left provides a brief description, and a key at right locates 49 important sites within the city.

A nice impression with binding holes in the far left blank margin, well away from map image.
