This handsome map of the environs of the Black Sea in classical times is filled with ancient place names and titled also in Greek. It is based on Ortelius' map of the same title. Petrus Kaerius engraved the map and ornamented it with sailing ships and a decorative title cartouche. Blank verso.

Condition: A

A nice impression with wide original margins. Light damp stains and a repaired fold separation, well away from the map. There is some minor creasing along the centerfold.
