This handsome map of Persia was published in Cloppenburgh's edition of Mercator's Atlas, which was sized in between the folio maps and the Atlas Minor miniatures. The map extends to show present-day Iraq and Afghanistan. It is filled with scores of place names, details of the Persian Gulf, and more. At bottom right is a square title cartouche surrounded by a tent. Latin text on verso.

Condition: B+

A nice impression on a lightly toned sheet with a small chip at top left and remnants of hinge tape on verso.
