The Map Collector magazine was founded by Ronald Vere Tooley in 1977. Over the next two decades, it built a reputation as a highly respected resource on the history of cartography and collecting antique maps. Each issue contains a wealth of information written by the most respected researchers, collectors, and dealers. This lot includes the majority of its 74-issue run; the missing issues are 1, 13, 18, 29, 42, 43, 68, & 69. There is also a duplicate copy of 32, and five index volumes that cover the contents of issues 1-60.
