This map features some of the largest western territorial boundaries. Washington and Oregon territories extend from the Pacific Ocean to the Continental Divide, while Utah territory extends from California to Long's Peak at the Continental Divide, with Fillmore City the capital. The oversized Kansas Territory borders Utah and New Mexico as there is no Colorado, and New Mexico Territory stretches between California and Texas. Nebraska Territory extends from the Rockies east to the Missouri River with Minnesota Territory to its east. The map locates forts, Indian tribes, drainage, topography and more.
