This is a terrific pair of maps of the Western and Eastern hemispheres. The attractive small map of the Americas features the Island of California with an indented northern coast and part of the coast of New Zealand. Land von Jesso is visible along the western edge of the map, near Japan. This is the second state of the plate, without Diemens Land or a completed New Guinea coastline. The depiction of Hudson Bay is odd, with a large landmass bisecting the bay. The map of the Eastern Hemisphere focuses on the river systems in each continent. A few geographical inaccuracies are evident even on this small map, including a remnant of the great Southern Continent, a horizontally oriented Caspian Sea, and an unnamed Chimay Lacus in southern Asia with five rivers flowing south.
