This charming pictorial map of Maine by M.C. Linscott is filled with tiny images representing the history of the state and the various recreational activities for which the state is known. Historical sites and facts fill the map, such as the site of the first chartered English city in America, and the birthplace of famous citizens. The recreational activities include hunting, golfing, fishing, canoeing, lumbering, picking blueberries, and picnicking. On verso is a detailed highway map of Maine, as well as a mileage chart from Maine to various US cities and a summary of Maine motor vehicle laws. This folding brochure was issued by the Maine State Highway Commission.
