This large and uncommon GLO map was compiled under the direction of I.P. Berthrong. A legend at top right is color-coded to identify National Forests, National Monuments, Indian Reservations, Military Reservations, U.S. Land Offices, and more. Most of the state had been surveyed by this time, but pockets in the southern half of the state still remain blank. A number of railroads are depicted throughout the state including the lines of the Southern Pacific, Denver & Rio Grande, and the San Pedro, Los Angeles, & Salt Lake Railroad. We found no past sales records and only four institutional examples located on OCLC. Printed in Washington by the Eckert Lithographing Company. Backed on linen.

Backed on linen with light toning and a small stain at top left. The top left corner of the map chipped off and was skillfully replaced with border from another example.
