It identifies numerous towns and cities, including Hanover, Braunschweig (Brunswick), Hildesheim, Wolfenbuttel, and Quedlinburg. The rivers and forests of the region are depicted in fine detail. The title and distance scale cartouche at bottom left incorporates an elaborate coat of arms and a dedication to the Duke of Brunswick and Luneburg.
