This map shows the route traveled by Philip V, King of Spain, from the time of his ascension to the throne in November 1700 to 18 June 1702. A column of text at right describes the king's journey. Also shown is the sea route taken by the British and Dutch through the Strait of Gibraltar to access the Mediterranean Sea. An interesting and uncommon map. Engraved by C. Inselin.
