Three maps are on one folio sheet. On the left is a map of Turkey oriented with east at the top. The detailed map is based on the cartography of Gastaldi/Forlani and extends to include Candia and Cyprus. At top right is a map of northern Egypt showing the Nile River delta. Below is a map of the vicinity of ancient Carthage (Tunis) with many oared ships in the sea. Latin text on verso, published in the first edition of the Theatrum.
References: Van den Broecke #174.
Condition: B+
A nice impression on a sheet with a small coat of arms watermark, and a small hole in the center of Turkey that has been closed on verso with a small piece of non-archival paper. There are minor dampstains along the edges of the sheet, not affecting the image.
