This detailed folio covers the El Paso region and was part of the Geological Survey's project to make a complete geological atlas of the United States. There are two single-page maps (topographical and geological) covering the area from the Rio Grande northeast to the Hueco Mountains with excellent detail. Features 14 different geological types, the street grid pattern of El Paso, the El Paso & Southwestern Railroad, and other details. The folio features an 11-page "Description of the El Paso District" by G.B. Richardson and one photographic plate. Produced under the direction of George Otis Smith. Elephant folio.
