This handsome two-sheet English atlas map of the continent features numerous place names and nice topographical detail. The mythical Lake Parima or del Dorado alias White Sea is located in Spanish Guiana. There are conjectural rivers and numerous interesting notations dotting the landscape.

Condition:

Crisp impressions on sturdy sheets. The top sheet has light offsetting (B+), while the bottom sheet has moderate foxing and offsetting (B). The first image is a composite image - the map is in two separate sheets.
