This attractive regional map of Germany centers on Mansfeld and Eisleben with nice detail along the Wipper and Saale rivers. Based on the cartography of Stella and Mellinger, the map is filled with place names and graphically engraved to illustrate the forests and marshes. Engraved by Franz Hogenberg. Latin text on verso.

A nice impression with full contemporary color on a bright sheet with the crossed arrows watermark commonly found on Ortelius maps. There are light dampstains that fill the bottom corners of the map.
