Two fine maps on a full folio sheet; the region centered on Venice, Padova and Vicenza in one map and Puglia and Calabria in the other. Both maps were based on the cartography of Jacobo Gastaldi. Embellished with strapwork cartouches, coat of arms, sailing ship and sea monster. Dutch text on verso.

Full contemporary color on a sheet with the crossed arrows watermark commonly found on Ortelius maps. There is a single tiny wormhole in the map at right, a bit of printer's ink residue, and a tiny chip at the lower right corner of the sheet, well away from map image.
