This is a handsome and very uncommon edition of Nebenzahl's popular reference, with brown faux-leather covers and all edges gilt. The well-written reference tells the story of the American battle for independence with the help of maps, many of them reproduced here for the first time since their original appearance. Accompanying each map is a clearly written commentary describing the event portrayed. Lavishly illustrated with historic images, 54 maps in full-color and endpaper maps, 218 pages. Narrative by Don Higginbotham. Hardbound in brown faux-leather with gilt title on spine and decorative border on covers. The circle of 13 stars representing the original 13 colonies is embossed in the front cover.
