These two maps together paint a complete picture of the railroad network in the United States at the turn of the 20th century. Railroads are shown in red overprinting with company lines named and stops identified. Rivers and lakes are shaded in a pale blue and mountain ranges are named but not illustrated given the remarkable amount of detail presented. Surrounding the map are a total of 14 inset maps featuring Boston, New York, the Adirondacks, Alaska, Hawaii, and Yellowstone National Park. Issued by the New England Railway Publishing Company in Boston.
