This colorful pictorial map of Cape Cod was published by the Town Crier Shop in Provincetown. It is filled with notes and illustrations related to the area's rich history including " A Typical Cape Cod Fisherman", "Ye Clam", and "Pilgrims Going to Church." The map notes where the Mayflower anchored, several towns including Brewster, Barnstable, Chatham, and Falmouth, as well as local commerce. In Provincetown, the Town Crier Shop is located adjacent to the Pilgrim Monument and Art Museum. The map is surrounded by additional illustrations related to the fishing industry and is further decorated by the early seal of Massachusetts and an elaborate compass rose surmounted by a sea serpent.
