This handsome map of Switzerland is colored by canton. It is packed with topographical detail and hundreds of place names. The title cartouche at top left is made up of the coats of arms of the cantons, and the map key is enclosed in another cartouche in the opposite corner. An alternate French title appear above the upper neatline: La Suisse, Divisee en ses Treze Cantons, ses Alliez et ses Sujets. Likely published in either Atlas Novus Reipublicae Helveticae (ca. 1753) or Atlas Homannianus... (1762).

A crisp impression with full contemporary color on sheet with a large "4" watermark. There are old manuscript notations in the map image and archival repairs to a couple short splits along the centerfold.
