This is a scarce and interesting double hemisphere world map with polar projections. In North America, there is a large Island of California. Australia and New Zealand are shown with incomplete coastlines. Paris is centered on the Northern Hemisphere at right and its corresponding point ("de Tegenvoeters van Paris") is located on the Southern Hemisphere on the left. The map contains six smaller astronomical spheres including the phases of the moon and a Copernican solar system tucked between the hemispheres.

A dark impression with contemporary outline color, issued folding on a bright sheet. There is light soiling at far left.
