A lovely early map of border region between England and Scotland. The seas are engraved in Mercator's characteristic moiré pattern and the interior is filled with detail. The large strapwork title cartouche encompasses the distance scale. French text on verso, published in 1628 or 1633.

Condition: B+

A crisp impression with full contemporary color on a watermarked sheet with extraneous creasing along the centerfold, a bit of printer's ink residue, and marginal soiling.
