This is a fine map of the Polish region of Silesia focused on the fortified cities in the Oder River valley. At bottom left is a large inset city plan of Breslau (Wroclaw) with a key to 38 important locations. An interesting title cartouche features Mercury and Mars with implements of war in the foreground, and a pastoral scene with hardworking villagers in the background.

A nice impression with contemporary color in the map and later color in the title cartouche and inset plan. There is light soiling and old paper repairs to a short centerfold separation at bottom and to a 1.5" tear near the center of the map.
