This handsome map shows the southwestern part of Switzerland, including Geneva, Lake Geneva, Lake Neuchatel, Lake Biel, Bern, Freiburg, and Lake Thuner. The elaborate strapwork title cartouche features two putti with grape, a goblet, and a carafe. Mercator is credited in the cartouche, with Jansson's imprint at bottom right. French text on verso, published between 1652-58.
