This sheet depicts the Battle of Parma, also known as the Battle of San Pietro, on June 29, 1734 as part of the War of Polish Succession. The battle was waged between French and Sardinian troops on one side and Habsburg Austrian troops on the other. The bottom half of the sheet illustrates the battle of the Ducal Palace of Colorno on June 4, 1734, a precursor to the Battle of Parma. Lettered keys identify the various locations and movements of the troops. The titles and text are given in both German and Italian. A handsome and uncommon sheet.
