Catania is prominently shown, and nearby towns and cities are located, including Adrano, Paterno, Nicolosi, and Acireale. The landscape is rendered in great detail. The view is surrounded by a decorative border. Pamphlet covers show an erupting Etna, with a historical rendering of Catania below. Verso features a small map depicting the region, black & white photos, and Italian text. Designed by Heinrich Caesar Berann (1915-99), an Austrian painter and cartographer best known for his panoramas of U.S. national parks, maps of mountain ranges published in National Geographic, and Winter Olympic site posters.
