Issued by Prov. Tourism Catania, this bird's-eye view depicts the area surrounding Mount Etna. Catania is prominently shown, and nearby towns and cities are located, including Adrano, Paterno, Nicolosi, and Acireale. The landscape is rendered in great detail. The view is surrounded by a decorative border. Pamphlet covers show an erupting Etna, with a historical rendering of Catania below. Verso features a small map depicting the region, black & white photos, and Italian text. Designed by Heinrich Caesar Berann (1915-99), an Austrian painter and cartographer best known for his panoramas of U.S. national parks, maps of mountain ranges published in National Geographic, and Winter Olympic site posters.
