Historian Justin H. Smith won the Pulitzer Prize in 1920 for this in-depth history of the Mexican-American War. The text is illustrated with 49 maps and plans across two volumes, showing battles, troop movements, and important locales. Volume I - 572 pages; Volume II - 620 pages. Hardbound in blue boards with gilt title on spines.
