This large, vibrant pictorial map of the United States was designed by Susan M. Hepworth and published by John Bartholomew & Son Ltd. The landscape is filled with illustrations of state seals, wildlife, sites of interest, Indigenous life, and portraits of historical figures, including George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Davy Crockett, Robert E. Lee, John Brown, General Custer, Wyatt Earp, Geronimo, Sitting Bull, and a surprising number of English royals. It extends to include parts of Canada and Mexico, with depictions of various wild animals. Self-folding into pictorial paperboard covers.

A bright, colorful example, issued folding, with a couple tiny splits at fold intersections. Covers are slightly soiled, with a previous owner's signature in pen on the front cover.
