This is the southern sheet of Hondius' two-sheet map of Scotland, which extends from the southern end of the Isle of Sky and the Hebrides down to the border of England. The map names Glasquo (Glasgow), and is filled with rivers, rugged mountains, and many place names. The cartography of this beautiful map of southern Scotland shows the influence of an earlier map by Nicolas de Nicolay. The Hebrides Islands are superbly delineated. Latin text on verso, published between 1607-12.
