This exquisitely engraved view presents Tripoli from the vantage of the Mediterranean. Ships and galleys appear in the foreground, with one of them firing its cannons. The architecture and fortifications of Tripoli are shown in nice detail. The Latin title notes that the city is famous for its pirates.
