This is the eleventh and enlarged edition of Morrison's Stranger's Guide that was rewritten to guide tourists "from point to point, and describe the different objects along the route." The 125 pages of text is organized into a 4-day visit of the city and includes at the front a folding Map of the Cities of Washington and Georgetown D.C. (19.5 x 15.4"), which extends to include Uniontown, Arlington Heights and Georgetown. It identifies a few prominent buildings including the President's House, Smithsonian, Washington Monument, and the U.S. Capitol, with radiating concentric circles showing quarter-mile distances from the Capitol. At the rear of the volume is a lovely Bird's-Eye View of Washington City, D.C. (20.0 x 14.3") taken from the east and looking towards the National Mall with a key to 16 locations at bottom. Published by W.H. & O.H. Morrison. Hardbound in stiff paper boards (3.8 x 5.8").
