Magnificent map of northern Scandinavia with a brilliant figurative armorial cartouche dedicating the map to Charles XII, King of Sweden. The map is filled with excellent detail of the topography and the cities, towns and villages. There is evidence that the imprint of Louis Renard was been removed under Delisle's imprint, evidence of the failed relationship, in which Renard sold Delisle's maps in the Dutch market. This is the northern portion of a two-sheet map, set within its own borders. Dissected and backed in linen.

A fine impression with contemporary outline color and minor soiling. Trimmed close to neatlines, as issued.
