This decorative oval map of the northern province of Artois is embellished with title and scale cartouches and set within an elaborate scrolled border. It was most likely engraved by Abraham Goos who also published this plate in his Nieuw Nederlandtsch Caertboeck. Dutch text on verso. This is the second state with "cum privileg." beneath the title cartouche.

Impression is a little weak at center and there is light toning and soiling along the edges of the sheet.
