This handsome map shows the Persian Empire during the time of the Safavid dynasty. It is fully engraved with mountains, rivers and hundreds of tiny villages. The map is richly embellished with a title cartouche surmounted by three Persian gentlemen, a ship sailing in the Indian Ocean, and a coat of arms in the dedication cartouche. French text on verso published between 1635-38.

A nice impression on a sheet with a "GA" watermark, a printer's crease adjacent to the centerfold, and light soiling that is mostly confined to the blank margins.
