A. Maps of Texas 1527-1900 - The Map Collection of the Texas State Archives, by James M. Day, circa 1997, black & white (5.6 x 8.6"). This is an essential reference for Texas collectors, originally published in 1964 by Pemberton Press. Compiled by James M. Day, the volume lists hundreds of maps from the map collection of the Texas State Archives, spanning from 1527 to the end of the 19th century. This edition was published in a limited run of 100 copies by Martino Fine Books. 178 pages. Hardbound in green cloth with gilt title on spine.

B. Maps of Texas and the Southwest, 1513-1900, by James C. Martin & Robert Sidney Martin, published 1999, printed color (12.2 x 9.4"). The fifty maps collected for this volume represent many of the historically significant maps of Texas and the Southwest from 1513 to 1900. The book is beautifully illustrated with 67 plates, 17 of them in color, many with detailed descriptions. Written by James C. Martin and Robert Sidney Martin. Published by the Texas State Historical Association. 174 pages, hardbound in beige cloth with leather spine and illustrated dust jacket.
