This very detailed map of the eastern United States shows the extensive railroad network. The tracks of the Virginia, Tennessee and Georgia Air Line are highlighted in red, with the Louisville and Nashville system in blue. Concentric circles are drawn showing the distance from various points to Roanoke, Va, with a table of distances at bottom. The map is still bound into the back of the First Annual Report of the President and Directors of the Norfolk & Western Railroad Company. 51 pp., 8vo with light blue paper wrappers.

A clean and bright example issued folding with a few tiny splits at fold intersections and light toning along a few folds. Text and wrappers are in excellent condition, although back cover is detached.
