This rare pictorial map of Swope Park in Kansas City, Missouri was issued by the Board of Park Commissioners. It locates the Kansas City Zoo, the music pavilion (the precursor to Starlight Theater), golf courses, tennis courts, the lagoon, the memorial to park namesake Thomas H. Swope, and more. The Blue River, roads, and a couple railways snake through the park. Throughout the map are charming illustrations of locals enjoying the park's many recreational activities. A decorative title cartouche and compass rose complete the composition.
