Attractive map of France showing the postal routes and offices throughout the country. The coloring shows the routes in yellow with major stations shown in red. Flanked at sides with a list of major cities. The drape-style title cartouche is held aloft by Mercury and a putto, escorted by Athena riding a Pegasus, with a vignette featuring mail carriers and coaches below. The map is further adorned with two compass roses and the Royal coat of arms. Published by De Fer's successor Guillaume Danet.

A nice impression on a bright sheet with the watermark of a Maltese cross encircled in rosary beads. There is an archival tissue repair on bottom centerfold and a hint of toning along the centerfold. There is some creasing in the top right corner of the sheet and minor marginal soiling.
