This fine map of the Hungarian Empire is centered on the Danube River from Vienna to Belgrade and is densely engraved with tiny towns, political boundaries, mountains, and the river systems in the region. The title cartouche has strange part-human, part-beast creatures being subdued by a putto with a flaming sword. Engraved by J. Harris.

Condition: B
A crisp impression with contemporary outline color in the map and later color in the title cartouche, on a toned sheet with the watermarks of a fleur-de-lis and the initials "AB". There is some chipping and short tears along the edges of the sheet, and there are pieces of non-archival tape along the edges of the sheet on verso.
